Magaly has been working with children since 2016. She has worked with students ranging from preschool to high school. Magaly graduated from the California State University of Long Beach with a bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Family Life Education. She is currently attending the University of Southern California, pursuing her master’s degree in teaching.
Magaly has worked in classrooms as an instructional aide providing services to students individually and in small groups. She has also worked as a program leader, teaching students about LitArt and STEAM. Magaly loves tutoring students because she loves to see children grow into their best selves. She works hard to help children reach their full potential in education. Magaly is a unique tutor who will never give up on her students. She strives to find the best way her students can learn and adapts accordingly so they can succeed. If a specific method is not working, she will try alternative methods until her students understand.
Magaly can tutor K – 12th grade students in various subjects but has a passion for English Language Arts and the science of reading. She is fluent in English and Spanish. She can help students who attend dual immersion schools and those learning the Spanish language. She also has experience with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
When Magaly is not tutoring, you can find her enjoying her hobbies which include playing sports such as soccer, basketball, and baseball. She also enjoys knitting, reading, going to the beach, and spending the day at Disneyland! Magaly is currently not accepting anymore students at this time but please reach out to inquire about other tutors who can help your child.
