Downey Tutor

Bryanna is available to tutor students in TK-12th grade in various subjects, including reading, writing, math, science, and history. Bryanna is available at our Downey location. She is also proficient in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish, making her available to communicate with families conversationally, tutor students in dual immersion programs, and tutor students learning Spanish as a foreign language.


Bryanna began working with students in TK-6th grade in 2020. Bryanna's immersion in working with elementary school children commenced through her Power of Play research class involvement. She skillfully intertwined academics with social-emotional skills, fostering students' confidence in their academic abilities and conflict-resolution skills. Her expertise extends to serving as a one-on-one aide and instructional assistant, enhancing her ability to provide personalized student support.


Currently employed as an instructional assistant at Lindstrom Elementary, Bryanna focuses on students enrolled in the Resource Specialist Program, addressing their mental, physical, and emotional disabilities. Her dedication to inclusive education is evident in her daily interactions with these students.

Bryanna holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychological and Brain Sciences from UC Santa Barbara. She is actively pursuing admission to graduate school for a Master's of Science in School Counseling. Her bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish amplifies her ability to connect with a diverse range of students.


Tutoring holds a special place in Bryanna's heart as it allows her to track students' progress in understanding assigned material while empowering them to become more confident in their learning journey. She finds joy in helping students grow comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and venturing into new aspects of their study material.


Bryanna's experience extends beyond academics, encompassing working with children facing various challenges. She has provided support to kids with physical disabilities such as cerebral palsy. She also has experience assisting those with mental disorders, including Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, and Autism/Asperger, as well as emotional sensitivity.


Outside the realm of tutoring, Bryanna enjoys an array of interests and hobbies. From powerlifting to culinary exploration, playing with her cats, and discovering new coffee shops, she finds joy and fulfillment in diverse activities.
