I have been working with children ranging in ages from 4-17 years since 2013. I have worked in different fields with children including babysitting, tutoring, after school programs, and public health volunteer work. I graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Science in biology: concentration in physiology. I am fluent in both English and Spanish and am available to meet students on various platforms but prefer to use Zoom or Facetime. Most of my academic tutoring experience has been with students in the 4th-10th grade in math, reading, writing, and science. I really enjoy connecting with students to help them not only understand the subject matter but to help them gain confidence in their academics. I love witnessing students’ progress and watching their happiness shine when they can understand a new concept. This feeling is both fulfilling for myself and for my students. Growing up, I received tutoring services from various programs so I understand on an in-depth level the difference a great tutor can make for students. I will find the best way for your child to grasp concepts by being patient and understanding of each individual student’s needs. I have experience with students with different emotional and behavioral disabilities but most of my experience is in students with ADHD. In my free time, I enjoy dancing, running, hiking, yoga, and volunteering.
