I have been working with children since I was in high school. I started out working as a camp counselor and throughout my time in college I worked as a tutor. After I graduated in 2017 from Pitzer College with a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience, with a minor in chemistry, I have been tutoring more consistently. I have experience working with children of all ages from Kindergarten through Highschool and have worked with students on all subjects but have a particular passion for math and science. I have worked with students in both a group and individual setting. I have a passion for working with children, especially one-on-one to help each student discover a love for learning. I’m fluent in English, as well as conversationally fluent in Spanish with reading and speaking. I’m available to tutor through Zoom, Google Meets and Skype. I’m open and capable of tutoring students in K – 12th grade and am passionate about working with children of all ages. I love tutoring because it allows the students to work individually with tutors. I love that one-on-one learning allows us to get to know students to help develop their love of learning as well as pinpoint their individual needs. I’m unique as a tutor because of my passion for learning and getting to know students more in depth. As much as the subject matter is critical in our students learning, so is the relationship to their tutors. I am warm and enthusiastic, so children learn to be enthusiastic about learning as well. I’m also unique in my background in neuroscience as I have an emphasis on science and psychology. I love dogs! I have a dog who I love very much. With her, I love going for hikes and walks. I’m also passionate about art, I’ve been doing it since I was a kid and still love both painting and sketching.
