I enjoy tutoring students with disabilities most of all. The ability to work closely with differently-abled students while assisting them in their academic journey is what I cherish most about one-on-one tutoring. I take great care in adapting my teaching method and materials to best fit the student while working hard to make learning fun and long lasting. I am a California State University of Dominguez Hills graduate with my bachelor’s degree in applied studies and a minor in public administration. I also received my associate degree in sociology. I have been working with children since 2015 as an Academic Tutor, AVID tutor, Behavior Interventionist, Behavior Specialist, and a Residential Counselor.
As a district Behavior Interventionist, I have worked with students between the ages of 5 and 18 who range in a variety of mental health and learning disability backgrounds to include those who suffer from schizophrenia, ADHD, ODD, dyslexia, PTSD, autism spectrum disorder, and other various emotional disturbances.
In my free time I like to draw, paint, read, watch anime or science fiction documentaries, listen to music, travel, hike or go skydiving. I am fluent in English and can tutor all grades via Facetime, Zoom, Skype and Google Meets. As a student, I always needed a little extra help in school and still cherish my tutors for helping me in my academic journey. I am excited to return the favor and do my absolute best to help other students improve in their studies.
